In this India Water Portal article, Atufa Regu explores the numerous ways that women contribute to the fishing industry from production and processing to marketing and management. Specifically, in India women play an important role in the post-harvest sector of the fishing industry and this paper seeks to uncover the importance of the women’s roles in fisheries, the obstacles faced and solutions for the future.
